Walker Ranch, Boulder, CO

Walker Ranch is a local favorite ride in Boulder offering great views, technical sections, and two bridges over South Boulder Creek.

It’s a major debate in the city as to which direction to ride, but I prefer clockwise (turn left after parking the car) to maximize singletrack.

After a short bit of climbing, you bomb down tight trail through the forest, and then end up at South Boulder Creek.

After the creek, there’s a pretty steep hike-a-bike up a cliffy section.

You’ll then have a relatively gentle uphill for a few miles.  At the top of the climb, stop, have a bite to eat, and take in the view.

Then, bomb down back the river and have a nice gentle climb back up to the car.
